The Value of Match

We went back and forth how to price AFINGO Match: “What is it worth?”; “What will people be willing to pay?”; “How do we price it so as to not under-value it, but also to not scare people off?”

The value of Match is priceless. At AFINGO we have taken the time to not only locate factories, but also to pre-qualify them to suit our users’ needs. So if you make wedding dresses, you will get a list of wedding dress manufacturers in the location you desire.

If you are looking for swimwear fabric from South America, it will come up for you.
We have scoured countries, met people in their factories and offices, filled out the preliminary questionnaire, so that all you have to do is input a few fields and press the click button.

How much is this convenience worth to you? How much is a plane ticket to China?  Once there, do you know where to go? And once you have found the factory, do you know how you are going to communicate with them when you are back home? If all of this takes 3 weeks of your time away from your day-to-day activities, what is that time worth to you?

Throughout my years manufacturing and consulting, I have found that people value sourcing, and the more qualified the source the better. With Match we deliver qualified factories to you that make what you need to get made.

For the contractor (factory), we are sending along leads that you want. If you want to work with new designers, you can accept a Request for Match for product development. If you only take 10,000 units + per order, you can accept a Request for Match for mass production.

The communication is then between the contractor and the customer.  The dirty work, the legwork, the hard part, is what most people can’t stand because inevitably there is an “I got screwed” story involved.  Our sources are vetted.  And the questions we ask send you to where you need to go, not the first random factory you find, or the first patternmaker that says, “Sure, I can do that.”

Many people lose thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars making the mistakes at the beginning of their business simply due to not knowing where to go and who to trust. The idea of Match isn’t to make your job easy; it’s to make sourcing efficient so you have a business you can grow.
